Ice Cream Pie with Peanut Butter Krispie Crust
Serves 8 I found this recipe from Foodiecrush on the Internet right before Father’s Day. I wanted a fun dessert that didn’t feel heavy and that would appeal to the masses. This was it. The crust reminds of Rice Krispie treats – so pick your favorite ice cream and enjoy. Ingredients 2 cups crisped rice cereal, like Rice Krispies 1/3 cup crunchy peanut butter 1/3 cup white Karo syrup 1½ quarts softened ice cream (I used two different flavors) Directions In a large bowl, stir

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
It’s National Pi day on March 14th – how could I not celebrate with pie! Any kind of pie would be fun whether you choose savory or sweet. This year I chose a new recipe – a chocolate chip cookie pie. How can that be a wrong choice? I have to admit, I am anxious to take my first bite. Hope you have slice of pie for Pi day. Enjoy. Ingredients 1 unbaked 9” piecrust* 2 eggs ½ cup all-purpose flour ½ cup sugar ½ cup brown sugar ¾ cup butter, softened 1 cup semi-sweet chocolat

Baked Custard Pie
I love baked custard – either in a pie shell or as a caramel flan. This is one of my mother’s favorite pies so as requested, I baked this for her, as part of her birthday celebration. It couldn’t be easier. I like to make my pie shell a little early, even an hour ahead and slip it into the freezer (sometimes I have made it up to a month ahead) because then you don’t have worry about the crust over browning. Pour the mixture into the frozen crust and bake as directed. It

Orange–and-Oatmeal Breakfast Pie
This is another great brunch/breakfast idea. I served it once at a bridal brunch I hosted and it was a big hit. It is also a great way to get your kids to eat something that is good for them. And since it is National Pi Day, I thought this would be a fun “Pi” recipe to share. I have a piecrust recipe posted on my blog if you need one, or a premade crust will work just great. Enjoy. Serves 8 Ingredients 1-9” unbaked pie shell 3 eggs ¾ cup milk 1 tsp. grated orange peel ½

Boston Cream Pie Roll
My sister and I LOVE Boston Cream Pie – what is not to love? Cake, Vanilla Custard, Chocolate Ganache , I mean all of those individually are yummy and put them together and – wow. I took a jellyroll cake class with my daughter a couple of years ago (yup, I was afraid to try one on my own) and this was one of the recipes we could choose to make. Well, no brainer for either of us – we had to make this one. Scrumptious doesn’t do it justice. Enjoy. 8-10 servings Ingredients

Apple Pie in a Bag
I bake my apple pie in a paper bag and I know, it sounds crazy, but if crazy tastes this good – go ahead and call me nuts. I found this recipe in our local paper eons ago and have been baking it ever since. I have to admit I was more than a little apprehensive the first time I slid my pie (in the bag) inside my oven (yes you will get a slight smell of paper while it is baking) but it came out perfect the very first time. It's in the bag. Enjoy. Serves: 8 Ingredients 2 ½ p
